Biography

Dr Lakshmi Ratnam is a Head of Department for the Department of Radiology at St George's University Hospitals, NHS, UK. She is also co-chair of the Hospital Thrombosis Group. 

Dr Ratnam qualified from the University of Sheffield in 1998 and completed her radiology specialist training at St George's Hospital. This was followed by a year's subspecialty training in interventional radiology at St George's and a further year at the Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Australia.

Her speciality interests are uterine artery embolisation, pelvic congestion syndrome, the management of lymphovascular malformations with percutaneous sclerotherapy, salivary gland interventions and paediatric interventional radiology. 

Dr Lakshmi Ratnam is on the editorial board for Vascular and Endovascular Review Journal.
