ISET 2025 - Safety and efficacy outcomes of an intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) catheter used for the treatment of moderate to severely calcified lesions show a high ability to deliver the catheter with access to the lesion and very low rates of myocardial infarction and distal embolisation.

Dr Daniel Clair (Vanderbilt University Medical Center, TN, US) joins us to discuss the key findings from the single-arm, prospective, multi-centre FORWARD PAD IDE trial (NCT05858905) and its feasability studies. FORWARD PAD IDE was designed to assess the safety and efficacy of the Shockwave Medical Mini S Peripheral IVL catheter (Shockwave Medical, Inc.) for the treatment of moderate to severely calcified lesions below the groin.

Interview Questions:
1. What is the reasoning behind the FORWARD PAD IDE Study?
2. What is the study design and patient population?
3. What are the key findings?
4. What were the safety outcomes?
5. What are the next steps?

Recorded remotely from Tennessee, 2025.
