Overview

Bridging stents in branched endovascular aortic repair (BEVAR) are an essential part of the procedure. Nowadays there are several stents available that can be used as a bridging stent, but up to now, there is no stent graft approved as a bridging stent in BEVAR. Recently however, a study was initiated to proof the safety and efficacy of bridging stents in BEVAR procedures.

In this live case transmission from Nuremberg, Prof Verhoeven performs a BEVAR implantation and demonstrates the importance of selecting the right bridging stent in a BEVAR procedure.

All participants have the opportunity to ask questions to the operator and to the endovascular experts who are commenting on the case.

The BeGraft PLUS is not indicated as bridging stent in branched procedures. Currently a clinical study is ongoing to obtain the indication for the BeGraft PLUS. Bentley is not responsible for the information, practices or opinions expressed in the broadcast.
